§ Mr. BurnsLatest centrally available figures, as published in "Registered blind and partially sighted people at 31 March 1994, England", copies of which are available in the Library, show that at 31 March 1994, there were(a) 149,700 people registered with local authorities as blind and (b) 115,700 registered as partially sighted.
