HC Deb 11 March 1997 vol 292 c194W
Mr. Wigley

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security what is his target date for the Benefits Agency to submit to him its proposals on the future of benefit offices in Wales following the evaluation exercise on the public response to the consultation document, "BA Wales—Blueprint for the Future"; if he will make it his policy not to take any decisions on the future of these resources until the evaluation exercise has been completed; and if he will make a statement. [18580]

Mr. Roger Evans

In order that all submissions and representations can be given full consideration and are properly evaluated, it is not appropriate at this time to place a deadline on the submission of revised proposals as to what, if anything, will be implemented.

The evaluation process is now under way. All representations will be taken into account before any decisions are made.
