A number of more general announcements have impinged upon the BBSRC and Roslin, including the annual announcements of the allocation of the science budget and the recent announcement of the outcome of the prior options reviews. § Mr. TaylorThe Roslin Institute was established on 1 April 1993 as a result of the restructuring of the former Institute of Animal Physiology and Genetics Research. It was constituted under the royal charter of the Agricultural and Food Research Council, which subsequently became the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council. On 1 April 1995, the Roslin Institute was reconstituted as a company limited by guarantee and was recognised as a Scottish charity.
