To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security how many(a) men and (b) women previously in receipt of invalidity benefit have failed the all-work incapacity benefits test; and how many of these are now receiving jobseeker's allowance. [19252]

The number of incapacity benefit recipients disallowed following the application of the all-work test for the period 13 April 1995 to 31 January 1997 is 159,0001. As at 17 January, 28,0002 incapacity benefit leavers were claiming jobseeker's allowance.
