§ Mr. OppenheimLandfill tax is under the care and management of the commissioners of Customs and Excise. On 16 October 1996, they approved the Environmental Trust Scheme Regulatory Body Ltd., Entrust, under regulation 35 of the Landfill Tax Regulations 1996 (S.I. 1996 No. 1527), to act as the regulatory body for environmental bodies.
It would not be appropriate for me to interfere in the way the commissioners discharge their responsibility. If the hon. Member is concerned about a specific difficulty, he might care to write to the chairman of Customs and Excise, or myself, about it.
