To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many scientists were employed by his Department and each of his Department's agencies on(a) the most recent date available and (b) for each year since 1979 on matters equivalent to those covered by MAFF; and if he will list each agency, service or central laboratory employing scientists on such projects.
