§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonThe pilot project in Norfolk and those in Manchester and Berkshire have been evaluated by the Home Office. The findings seem to confirm that the technology is reliable and that this form of sentence can be a worthwhile addition to the range of community penalties available to sentencers. There is no reason to believe that the same will not be true in Scotland.
