§ Sir John WheelerProjects approved under the private finance initiative to date include a contract energy services scheme at Holywell hospital, car parking facilities at the Royal group of hospitals, and leasing of medical and other equipment. The car parking project at the Royal group of hospitals is a financially free-standing 581W project which will recover its costs through charges to the user. The total capital value of signed contracts amounts to approximately £5.3 million, with an annual payment of £1 million. The total value of the payments to be made over the life of the contracts amounts to approximately £5.7 million.
