To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to his answer to the hon. Member for Lewes (Mr. Baker) 9 June,Official Report, column 323, which organisations he (a) is consulting and (b) plans to consult, in relation to his review of the provisions of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996. We will consult widely before taking any decisions about the 1996 Act. A number of organisations have already given us their views.
