§ Angela EagleThe designation of new national parks in England is the responsibility of the Countryside Commission, subject to confirmation by the Secretary of State. Ministers will meet shortly with the Commission to discuss the potential for new national parks. I understand there are no plans at present to alter the boundaries of existing national parks.
