§ Mr. Ian McCartneyWe are pressing ahead with the setting up of the Low Pay Commission. Professor George Bain was appointed on 2 June to chair the Commission and advertisements seeking suitable applicants for the Commissioners are appearing in the press this week. The Commission is expected to start work in the summer.
