§ Mr. Keith BradleyNeither I, nor any other Minister, has the power to intervene in the decision of independent adjudicating authorities. However, it is open to an appellant who is dissatisfied with the decision of a Disability Appeal Tribunal either to apply to have that decision set aside or to seek leave to appeal against it on a point of law to a Social Security Commissioner. Statutory provisions, including time limits, apply to either course.
