§ Ms Glenda JacksonCentral Government are providing £4 million to London authorities in the current financial year, to support their expenditure on the development of the London cycle network and the Thames cycle route. The following table of figures, copies of which are being placed in the Library of the House, gives the breakdown of this sum by authority. The London authorities are able to incur additional expenditure on such measures by drawing on their own resources, but they are not required to declare to what extent, if any, they will be doing so.
