§ Angela EagleRegrettably, payment by the European Commission of the balance of ERDF due under the Non-Quota Fisheries Programme is still outstanding. This is because the European Commission have yet to approve the final annual report on the programme. The Commission have not yet formally responded, although I understand they will be seeking further clarification on a small number of details.
Officials in the Department of Trade and Industry are in touch with officials at the Commission and hope to reach a conclusion shortly, which will enable the Commission to pay the final balance. Once this ERDF is received, we will ensure that all outstanding payments to Wyre Borough Council are made promptly.
