To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage what plans he has to review the regulations governing concessionary television licences in sheltered housing establishments. [3146]

The Government have no plans at present to review the concessionary television licence fee regulations.

Mr. Flight

To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage how many television licence holders are over 75 years old. [3160]

Mr. Fisher

This information is not available, as TV licensing does not record the age of television licence holders. There are approximately 3.07 million UK households with one or more members aged 75 or over, of which an estimated 2.44 million consist solely of people of that age.

To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage what communications he has had from the Secretary of State for Social arising from her oral answer of 2 June,Official Report, column 28, regarding concessionary television licences for pensioners. [3711]

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Security has drawn my hon. Friend's comments of 2 June,Official Report, columns 5-6, to the attention of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for National Heritage. The Government have no plans at present to extend the existing concessionary television licence scheme.
