§ Angela EagleIt is the responsibility of local planning authorities, when determining planning applications for land which may be contaminated, to consider whether the proposal takes proper account of any contamination. In certain circumstances, it may be necessary for detailed site investigation or specific remedial measures to be made conditions of the planning permission.
