§ Mr. RookerThere is a great deal of circumstantial evidence that badgers are implicated in the transmission of bovine tuberculosis to cattle. Professor Krebs is looking at the incidence of tuberculosis in cattle and badgers and assessing the scientific evidence for the links between them. I expect him to report later this year. We will consider any recommendations Professor Krebs makes very carefully.
