§ Mrs Liddell[holding answer 21 May 1997]: The committee will include the Governor and two Deputy Governors appointed by the Government, and two members appointed by the Governor. It will also include four other members appointed from outside the Bank by the Government. They will be recognised experts. They will be allowed to engage, with the Government's approval, in other activities which do not give rise to a conflict of interest.
