§ Mrs. Beckett[holding answer 25 July 1997]: Apart from any holiday they may be taking, all my Ministers will be working during August and attending their DTI offices as necessary for the conduct of business. Ministers will continue to exercise their own responsibilities, although a duty Minister will also cover each day for his or her colleagues as necessary. It follows, therefore, that the ministerial responsibilities of the DTI will be adequately covered during this period.
