§ Mr. BattleGovernment support for solar photovoltaic technology will certainly form part of the review of policy on new and renewable energy. In the meantime, we will continue with the research, design and development work under the Department's new and renewable energy programme, which is assessing PV technology, for example by monitoring a number of large-scale installations, such as the Ford factory roof at Bridgend and the Doxford offices at Sunderland. We are also supporting the deployment of PV in 100 schools and colleges across the country through the £2.5 million foresight "SCOLAR" initiative.
