§ Ms JowellThe Department has a contract with Chessington Computer Services Ltd. to provide a full on line payroll service using the standard payment input and retrieval system. This service costs £500,000 per year. The Department's pay unit inputs all data to the system and provides an inquiry service to staff. The cost of this service in 1997–98 is £321.365.
