To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what was(a) the total value of inward investment in current prices, (b) the number of inward investment projects and (c) the number of jobs created or safeguarded in Wales by inward investment in each year since 1983. [11262]

The following table provides details of inward investment into Wales on a financial year basis since 1983–84. The figures are based on information provided by the companies at the time of the decision to invest. They take no account of any subsequent developments.
