§ Clare ShortThe know-how fund provides flexible technical assistance to central and eastern Europe and central Asia adjusting to the transition to democracy on an efficient economy. I am reviewing its activities as part of the process leading up to the publication in the autumn of a White Paper on international development to adjust to progress achieved and the need to address growing inequality and poverty in transition countries.
