§ Mr. MilburnWe have just announced an increase in resources for the national health service for 1998–99 of £1.2 billion. It is for health authorities and general practitioner's to use these extra resources to plan and arrange services for their residents, following an assessment of their needs, and to make decisions about the level of resources required for any particular service.
