HL Deb 23 July 1997 vol 581 cc167-8WA
Lord Lucas

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What are the best estimates of which they are aware of the number of wild mammals killed annually in the United Kingdom by (a) domestic cats, (b) dogs, (c) birds, (d) other wild mammals or (e) humans.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Home Office (Lord Williams of Mostyn)

The information requested is not collected centrally and we are not aware of any such estimates. The Scottish Office and Northern Ireland Office similarly have no knowledge of the numbers requested.
