To ask the President of the Board of Trade what representations she has received on the statement by the Minister for Competition and Consumer Affairs in Athens on the rebranding of Lunn Poly travel shops; and if she will make a statement. [9428]

To ask the President of the Board of Trade, pursuant to her answer to the right hon. Member for Wokingham (Mr. Redwood) of 14 July,Official Report, column 69, for what reasons the Minister for Competition and Consumer Affairs decided to rule himself out of the consideration of the Monopolies and Mergers Commission report into the travel trade. [holding answer 18 July 1997]: My hon. Friend the Member for Edinburgh, South (Mr. Griffiths) decided to stand aside from consideration of the report, in order to avoid any question over whether he could approach the MMC report with an open mind.

To ask the President of the Board of Trade if she has discussed with the Minister for Competition and Consumer Affairs the content of his public responses during the Athens conference concerning the travel trade. [9429]
