§ Dr. ReidKey Targets have been set for the Chief Executive of the Defence Dental Agency for financial year 1997–98. The targets build on the progress already made by the Agency since it formed in March 1996 and are as follows:
- (a) From within available personnel resources, to achieve 100 per cent. of required professionally and militarily trained personnel, at the specified readiness required for deployment in support of the National Contingency Force.
- (b) For each Service, to maintain the agreed dental fitness targets of 75 per cent. of all Service personnel and 90 per cent. in priority groups, to be fit for deployment.
- (c) By 28 February 1998 to have developed a performance indicator to measure the outstanding treatment need and have set a baseline of performance to enable challenging targets to be set for 1988–99 onwards.
- (d) By 28 February 1998 to have developed a performance indicator to measure the improvements in the failure to attend rate and have set a baseline of performance to enable challenging targets to be set for 1988–99 onwards.
- (e) By 28 February 1998 to have developed a performance indicator to measure the improvement in dental morbidity and have set a baseline of performance to enable challenging targets to be set for 1988–99 onwards.
- (f) To complete all Service Level Agreements with major customers and other Agencies by 31 December 1997, and develop a system of ongoing review to allow maintenance of SLAs in successive years.
