§ Ms Estelle MorrisThe Government has announced that proceeds from the National Lottery will be made available to support in-service training for teachers in information technology. On 26 June I announced new requirements for initial teacher training, which will require all newly qualified teachers to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of information technology, and asked the Teacher Training Agency to develop a curriculum for information technology in initial teacher training.
