Friend the President of the Board of Trade has recently received copies of reports from the Committee for Diversity and Pluralism and the National Federation of Retail Newsagents. All those with concerns about the distribution of magazines and newspapers must make them known to the Director General of Fair Trading. It is for the Director General to consider whether action under the competition legislation is appropriate.
