§ Mr. MichaelThe Government will consider carefully whether changes are necessary on a wide range of firearms controls, including those on air weapons, in due course. We decided that the first priority for this session must be to resolve the outstanding issue of .22 handguns and to ensure that the legislation on handguns is properly in place as quickly as possible.
