§ Mr. Jonathan EvansThe 1993 Welsh house condition survey estimated that 151,200 occupied first homes in Wales were unfit at that time. Since the beginning of 1993–94, more than 27,300 mandatory renovation grants with a value of £467 million have been completed. A further house condition survey is under way and the results will be available in 1998.
