§ Mr. Jonathan EvansThere were 43,950 full-time and sandwich students at further and higher education institutions in Wales for 1978–79, compared to a provisional figure of 102,598 for 1995–96. The 1995–96 figure excludes a small number of students on further education courses at higher education institutions, and on higher education courses at further education institutions.
