What is their detailed response to the press release issued by the Countess of Mar on 17 December entitled Gulf War Syndrome: a response to the 10th December Statement by the Minister of State for the Armed Forces.
The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Ministry of Defence (Earl Howe)The Government have noted the contents of the noble Countess's press statement. The Ministry of Defence is determined to get to the bottom of any health problems which might have resulted from service in the Gulf. We remain anxious to assist Gulf veterans who are ill to the extent that we properly can. We are continuing to review a number of issues raised in the context of the recent statement to Parliament by the Minister of State for the Armed Forces.
