§ Mr. RifkindIn 1995–96, the cost to my Department for clothing for official overseas visits by the Duke and Duchess of Kent and those accompanying them was £5,300; for the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and those accompanying them, it was £3,000.
None of these sums was devoted to hiring charges.
