To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment (1) what is the total annual budget for the National Advisory Council on Employment of People with Disabilities; [9148]

(2) what proportion of the total budget of the National Advisory Council on Employment of People with Disabilities is accounted for by administrative costs and the remuneration of members; [9151]

(3) if he will list the members of the National Advisory Council on Employment of People with Disabilities and the terms of their appointments. [9152]

The members of the National Advisory Council on Employment of People with Disabilities—NACEPD—are: Mr. Alan Smith CBE, FIPD (Chairman), Professor Ian Bruce, Mrs. Guinette Davies, Mrs. Andrea Dean, Ms Rita Donaghy, Dr. Stephen Duckworth OBE, Mr. Richard Excell, Dr. Ann Fingret, Sir Peter Large CBE, Mr. Bert Massie OBE, Mr. Paul Newman, Mr. Tim Papé OBE, Ms Susan Scott-Parker, Mr. Richard Sermon, Mr. Ian Sneddon, Mr. John Spencer, Mr. Roger Spoor OBE, and Mrs. Dianah Worman. NACEPD was reconstituted on 1 July 1994 for three years until 30 June 1997, when the terms of members' appointments expire.

The total estimated costs for NACEPD in 1996–97 are £70,200, of which 96 per cent. covers allowances for members' loss of earnings and travel and subsistence expenses, and the provision of the council's secretariat.
