Ministers and Government office holders who have resigned since the 1992 general election are as listed. Unless otherwise noted, each was paid a severance payment in accordance with the terms of the Ministerial and other Pensions and Salaries Act 1991.
Under the Act, payments are made no less than three weeks after the date of resignation. The actual dates on which payments were made by Departments were not held centrally before February 1994. However, the dates of payments made after February 1994 are as listed.
