Mr. Moss

Responsibility for the subject in question has been delegated to the Social Security Agency under its chief executive, Mr. Alec Wylie. I have asked him to arrange for a reply to be given.

Letter from Alec Wylie to Dr. Joe Hendron, dated 20 December 1996: I have been asked to reply to your Parliamentary Question on Incapacity Benefit and Disability Living Allowance. I have attached a table showing the number of people in the Belfast West constituency who are in receipt of Incapacity Benefit and Disability Living Allowance. Unfortunately, figures are not available for either benefit for the number of applicants who have been turned down in 1996. I hope this explains the position for you but I would be happy to provide any further information you require.
