§ Mr. Robert B. JonesThe costs of the prior options review, which is complete, and of the privatisation will fall to the Department's administration vote. Work on the review involved staff from this Department overseen by an advisory group drawn from Government and industry. Work on the privatisation involves staff the majority of whom are not working full time on this work. In both cases the staff and related costs could be determined only at disproportionate cost. Expenditure on professional fees in connection with the prior options review were around £100,000. It is estimated that professional fees in connection with the privatisation will be in the region of £1.3 million.
