The Home Secretary has asked me, in the absence of the Director General from the office, to reply to your Question about the arrangements to be made if Ms Roisin McAliskey gives birth while still in detention.Careful consideration is being given to the care of Ms McAliskey's baby should she give birth while detained in prison custody. No decisions have yet been taken. If Ms McAliskey is extradited to Germany, care arrangements will be matters for the German authorities.
