§ Mrs. GillanThe special educational needs code of practice offers guidance on the assessment of a dyslexic child. The Department supports training for teachers of dyslexic pupils through the grant for education support and training programme and is consulting over the national curriculum for initial teacher training, which has a particular focus on literacy.
