§ Mr. MaloneThe main agency through which the Government support medical and clinical research is the Medical Research Council. In addition to work specifically on multiple sclerosis, the MRC also undertakes work under the broader headings of auto-immune disorders, diseases of the central nervous system, and neurodegenerative diseases, all of which underpin research into MS. Results of Government-funded research are made freely and widely available.
