§ Mr. MaloneOn 12 June last year, I announced in the House the Government's proposal to amend the Dentists Act 1984 following the General Dental Council's recommendation to set up new classes of dental auxiliaries and expand the range of work that they can do, including the legalisation of clinical dental technicians. As a first step it is intended to publish a consultation Bill on amendments to the Dentists Act.
