§ Mrs. GillanTotal expenditure on premature retirement compensation and Crombie payments as recorded by each local education authority in England and Wales for the years 1990–91 to 1994–95 is shown in the following table. The expenditure figures include payments made to further and higher education lecturers and to teachers at sixth-form colleges and grant-maintained schools who were granted premature retirement by the LEA. Separate details of redundancy payments are not collected centrally.
