§ Mr. BoswellThe total area under restrictions in Cumbria following the announcement on 22 January 1997 is approximately 12,200 hectares comprising 48 holdings. Within this area 37 holdings covering about 9,230 hectares have been granted exemptions from the provisions of the order and 11 holdings covering about 2,970 hectares still remain under controls.
It has not been the policy of the Agriculture Department to release the names of individual holdings.
