§ Sir Paul BeresfordOf the planning applications considered by the Teesside development corporation, since it was established in 1987, 14 were opposed by either Cleveland county council or Stockton borough80W council. Of these, 12 were approved by the corporation and have led to the creation of an estimated 3,480 jobs, with a further 500 expected to be provided in due course. Two applications were not approved.
These applications, and the estimated numbers of jobs created by each project are as follows.
