To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many Government Departments have an approved Welsh language policy; and if he will make a statement. [13869]

§ Mr. Hague
The approval of Welsh language schemes is an operational matter for the Welsh Language Board. However, the board informs me that, to date, three Government Departments, including the Welsh Office, have an approved Welsh language scheme in place.
