To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland on what date the Controller of Audit's Special Report 97/2 on East Lothian District Council was submitted to(a) the Accounts Commission and (b) East Lothian Council. [20987]

I understand from the Accounts Commission for Scotland that the Controller of Audit's report was dated 27 August 1997 and was sent to the Accounts Commission and East Lothian Council on that date.
