§ Mr. HainThe financial estimates relating to the New Deal for 1998–99 will not be finalised until the end of January so I am not able at this time to say exactly what the planned expenditure for Wales will be. I will write to my hon. Friend once the figure is known, and place a copy of my reply in the Library of the House.
