HC Deb 18 December 1997 vol 303 c289W
Ann Clwyd

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland which foreign military, security and police personnel have received training by the Royal Ulster Constabulary; and at which locations such training was provided in each of the last five years. [20012]

Mr. Ingram

Since 1992 the RUC have provided training on three occasions to overseas police personnel. Two superintendents from Botswana (1992), seven senior ranking Indian police officers (1993) and one American officer (1997) received training from the RUC. This training took place within Northern Ireland.
