§ Mrs. RocheThe Government are determined to create an environment in which high technology companies can develop and grow. This includes improving the climate for investment, helping firms to access and adapt new technologies, and encouraging partnerships between the science and engineering base and industry. The DTI has already announced a number of new activities in these areas, including, for example:
- support for the UK Business Incubator Centre;
- setting up a Steering Group on Tech-Stars; and
- establishing the enterprise Zone Internet site.
